South Anchorage is 7-1 against Colony since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wolverines will square off against the Knights at 12:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
South Anchorage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over Chugiak. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Adriana Jones, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Carley Struempler also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
South Anchorage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chugiak only posted a batting average of .182.
Meanwhile, Colony entered their tilt with Juneau-Douglas on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Crimson Bears a 15-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 25 contests by six runs or more this season.
Kaidence Browning made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Browning was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Morgan Gallagher was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Saibree Noll was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Colony's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 34-8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Anchorage, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
South Anchorage was able to grind out a solid win over Colony when the teams last played back in May, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
