The Checotah Wildcats will face off against the Muldrow Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Checotah humbled Locust Grove with a 55-13 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Jayden Ellen had a dynamite game, rushing for 213 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 7 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another player making a difference was Cole Rolland, who threw for 133 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Checotah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 267 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Checotah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jayden Lake, Shooter Eagleberger, and Landynn Thomason picked up one apiece. Woodrow Spears was another major factor on D, making 17 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Muldrow is still undefeated this season after their game against Eufaula on Friday, but Eufaula came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bulldogs came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 28-27 W against the Ironheads.
Checotah better keep an eye on Deshawn Wilson. He was instrumental in Muldrow's win, rushing for 167 yards and one score while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 101 every time he's taken the field this season.
One reason for the win was Muldrow's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. EJ Zanders was especially locked on to Eufaula's QB and sacked him four times. Zanders also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.
Muldrow's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Checotah, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Checotah has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Muldrow struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 237.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Checotah skirted past Muldrow 48-45 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
