There's no place like home for the St. Mary's Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Tracy 68-39 at home. With St. Mary's ahead 48-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
St. Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Huerta led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds. Cayden Ward was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
St. Mary's pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Tracy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
St. Mary's will be playing at home against Modesto Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tracy, they will head out on the road to square off against Tokay at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tokay has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
