Temple Christian waltzed into their match  on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with  a   9-5  victory over the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Ospreys  back in March, they had to take a  8-2  defeat.
 Reagan Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Temple Christian let  Kaedee Hudson and  Alyssa Conner run wild. Hudson  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Conner  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Temple Christian pushed their record up to 7-3 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road dating back to last season. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
 Looking ahead, Temple Christian will take on Miller School of Albemarle at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 25th. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
