Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Highland Park Scots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against the Dragons on Friday, falling 45-14. Highland Park's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Davis Penn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries for Southlake Carroll. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Wormley, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Southlake Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
Highland Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southlake Carroll is on the road again on December 2nd and play against Byron Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Byron Nelson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 591 points over their last 12 games.
