It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Leon Cougars can now relate to. They were dealt a 58-0 defeat at the hands of Garrison on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, Leon couldn't push the score so high this time.
Garrison can attribute much of their success to Omarion Rasberry, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Javien Black was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Leon now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Garrison, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Leon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garrison is on the road again on Thursday and play against Beckville at 7:00 p.m. on November 16th. Beckville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
