Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Thomas, who scored 12 points. The match was Thomas' 14th in a row with at least ten points. Crawford Fuller was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Springwood's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for McIntosh, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springwood and Lee-Scott Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Lee-Scott Academy is ranked 37th, while Springwood is ranked 46th). McIntosh and Eagle's Landing Christian Academy will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully McIntosh likes a good challenge.
