The South Warren Spartans will venture away from home to face off against the Pulaski County Maroons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Warren will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, South Warren beat Hopkinsville 33-21. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Tigers are ranked 68th).

South Warren's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Camden Page led the charge by throwing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes. What's more, Page racked up 142.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. South Warren also got help from Justin Capps, who showed off his sure hands for 102 receiving yards.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Isaiah Bridges, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
South Warren didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kayden York and Bridges.
Meanwhile, Pulaski County lost 50-30 to Johnson Central on Friday. The loss was the Maroons' first of the season.
South Warren will need to focus on slowing down Kasen Brock, one of several Pulaski County players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 82 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 84 yards. Zak Anderson was another key player, throwing for 229 yards and three TDs.
South Warren's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Pulaski County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Everything went South Warren's way against Pulaski County in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, as South Warren made off with a 69-48 victory. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Maroons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
