The Tolleson Wolverines can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Westwood, posting a 42-7 victory at home. This was payback for Tolleson, who suffered a 28-14 loss the last time these two teams met.
Tolleson found their leader in underclassman Rico Blassingame, who picked up 148 receiving yards and a touchdown. R.J. Dogbah got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Tolleson's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Westwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
