On Saturday, Wekiva beat DME Academy Blue 46-36.
Leading Wekiva to victory were Jasmine Pooler and Tierra Coleman. Pooler scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds, while Coleman scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brakayla Anderson, who scored 6 points.
The win got Wekiva back to even at 1-1. As for DME Academy Blue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Wekiva will head out on the road to face off against Evans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Evans focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 52 on Saturday. DME Academy Blue will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hagerty at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th.
