The Beaver Dam Golden Beavers are taking a road trip to face off against the Oregon Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Beaver Dam is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Beaver Dam can't be too worried about heading out to take on Oregon: they just beat Pewaukee at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Golden Beavers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Pirates on Thursday.
Emma Julka was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April.

Beaver Dam kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Watertown hit Oregon with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 13-1 to the Goslings. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Oregon's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10. As for Beaver Dam, their record is now 16-6.
Beaver Dam got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Oregon by a conclusive 12-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Beavers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
