The Hampshire Trojans will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Frankfort Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Hampshire is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Frankfort in West Virginia (Hampshire is ranked 52nd, while Frankfort is ranked 202nd).
Last Wednesday, Hampshire was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-38 to Keyser.
While Frankfort couldn't quite beat Trinity Christian on Wednesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 41-point loss they were dealt on Monday. Frankfort fell just short of Trinity Christian by a score of 43-40. Frankfort's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Hampshire now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Frankfort, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Hampshire couldn't quite finish off Frankfort in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 35-32. Can Hampshire avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
