Plainfield Central came out on top against Joliet Central on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Steelmen with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Plainfield Central is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Joliet Central, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-23.

Looking ahead, Plainfield Central will take on Prospect at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Joliet Central, they will face off against Romeoville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
