After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pattonville, Affton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Herculaneum Black Cats. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Affton moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Herculaneum, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Affton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Parkway North on the 16th. As for Herculaneum, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-5 victory against St. Vincent on the 15th.
