Crossroad Academy is 7-0 against Aucilla Christian since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Crossroad Academy Scorpions will square off against the Aucilla Christian Warriors. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Crossroad Academy didn't have too much trouble with Gadsden County as they won 51-37. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Jaguars are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forrest Dudley was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 17 en route to 23 points. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jabari Boahen, who posted seven points and five steals.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Aucilla Christian had no problem doing just that on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 80-77 victory over the Gators. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Crossroad Academy better keep an eye on Ethan Bass. He was instrumental in Aucilla Christian's win, going 13 of 24 on his way to 33 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bass has scored at least a third of Aucilla Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Gamalero, who scored 17 points and eight boards.
Aucilla Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Crossroad Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Crossroad Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Aucilla Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
