Baseball Recap: Fennville's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Fennville was forced to take a big defeat against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Saugatuck Trailblazers by a score of 12-8. Considering the Blackhawks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Seamus Lynch, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Onken, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Fennville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saugatuck only posted an OBP of .382.

With the victory, Fennville broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-14. As for Saugatuck, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-13.
