Basketball Game Preview: Indian Creek Eagles vs. Samuel Fels Panthers

The Indian Creek Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Samuel Fels Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Indian Creek ended up a good deal behind Annapolis Area Christian and lost 75-59. While losing is never fun, Indian Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Annapolis Area Christian is ranked 46th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nick Parris, who posted 31 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Harvin, who earned 18 points.

Meanwhile, Samuel Fels didn't have quite enough to beat Prince George's Christian Academy Blue on Saturday and fell 59-57. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Indian Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Samuel Fels, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
