The East Hickman County Eagles waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Community 43-25. Given East Hickman County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Community is ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Community had strong showings from Alyssa White, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds, and Anna Haskins, who scored 12 points.
East Hickman County's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Hickman County will take on Cheatham County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cheatham County Central is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road. Community won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully Grundy County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday.
