Carly Brinkley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Brinkley was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Dos Palos let Abbey Santoyo and Hannah Slimp run wild. Santoyo went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Slimp went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Santoyo has posted since back in February. Julie Barba was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Dos Palos hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 8-3 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Boron came tearing into Friday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Tornadoes 12-1.
