It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Aubrey Rogers had no problem doing just that  on Monday. Everything went their way against the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds as they made off with  a  12-2 victory.  Cole Woessner looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  EJ Byrnes, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Logan Grimm, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.
Aubrey Rogers' win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 21-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record  this season.
