The St. Georges Tech Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Havre de Grace Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Georges Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday.
On Saturday, things could have been worse for St. Georges Tech, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-50 loss to Howard.
St. Georges Tech's defeat came about despite a quality game from Blair Thomas, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Dominic Angeloni was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, St. Georges Tech were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, even though Harford Tech scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Havre de Grace still came out on top. Havre de Grace took their contest against Harford Tech 67-60.
St. Georges Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Havre de Grace, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
St. Georges Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over Havre de Grace in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Georges Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
