The Ridgeview Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Ribault 88-44. Ridgeview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-30.
Ridgeview's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Blake Thomas, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds, and Bryce Jackson who scored nine points.
Ribault's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Williams, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten assists. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb McDuffie, who scored 22 points along with two steals.
Ridgeview bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Ribault, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Ridgeview will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. As for Ribault, they will head out on the road to challenge First Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. First Coast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Ribault is ranked 84th).
