O'Connor is a perfect 10-0 against Stevens since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Panthers will square off against the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (O'Connor has five straight wins, Stevens has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, O'Connor got the win against Holmes by a conclusive 13-1. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Zoe De Luna looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, O'Connor got a massive performance out of Gabbi Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI Martinez has posted since back in February. Isabella Sierra was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple and one run.
O'Connor hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 26 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Stevens lost 11-1 to Brennan on Monday.
Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for O'Connor, their record now sits at 12-5.
Stevens' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. O'Connor has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Stevens, though, as they've been averaging only 2.1 strikeouts. Will O'Connor keep running through batters, or will the Falcons buck the trend?
Everything went O'Connor's way against Stevens when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as O'Connor made off with a 13-2 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
