Gila Bend waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 67-62 W over Harvest Prep Academy.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Tri-City Christian Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 74-58 loss to Skyline - Gila River on Thursday. Tri-City Christian Academy was down 62-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Tri-City Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Fulvio Dos Santos, who shot 6-for-12 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds, and Chris Carnes who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Gila Bend's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 15-2.
Gila Bend was taken down by Tri-City Christian Academy 67-29 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Thankfully for Gila Bend, Andy Mora (who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
