The Calvary Christian Cougars suffered their biggest loss since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 74-36 loss at the hands of Scott. While losing is never fun, Calvary Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Scott is ranked 123rd).
Leading Scott to victory were Dylan Giffen and Connor Griffin. Giffen scored 16 points, while Griffin scored 18 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Evans, who scored seven points.
Calvary Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Scott, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will take on Dayton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dayton has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Scott, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Brossart at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Brossart is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
