The Culver Community Cavaliers will take on the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Culver Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.3 runs per game this season.

Gracie Milam was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Abigayle Zehner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tippecanoe Valley suffered their closest loss since May 3, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Knox by a score of 6-4.
Dalynne Bussard put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Bussard wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mackaylie Costello, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two doubles. That home run marked the first that Costello has launched this season. Another was KC Shriver, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Tippecanoe Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Culver Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Culver Community's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's match. The Cavaliers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Tippecanoe Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Culver Community continue to outrun the ball?
