The Wood County Christian Wildcat's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-46 to Bridgeport, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wood County Christian came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 123rd in West Virginia, while Bridgeport is ranked 590th in Ohio).
Bridgeport found their leader in underclassman Jaleel Vincent, who scored 21 points. Jaki Threet was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Wood County Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bridgeport, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Wood County Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Paden City at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Bridgeport, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Toronto at 7:30 p.m. Toronto will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
