Lovejoy won the last time they faced Northwest and things went their way on Friday too. The Leopards walked away with a 2-0 win over the Texans.

Bella Lopez paced Lovejoy's offense, picking up seven kills. Lopez got some help from Camryn Penn and her 16 assists. Lopez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Northwest's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raydon Stewart, who had 12 digs and one assist. Kaydence Fields also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lovejoy's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Northwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Lovejoy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Southlake Carroll on the 23rd. As for Northwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Rockwall on the 23rd.
