Clearwater Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gio Sciandra led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxwell Messa, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Pinellas Park dropped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.
Pinellas Park will head out on the road to face off against Dunedin at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Dunedin is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Pasco at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
