Sickles hasn't had much luck against Plant recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Gryphons will square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Sickles will be strutting in after a win while Plant will be coming in after a defeat.
Sickles is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Leto on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Gryphons in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won nine in a row.

Brayden Himelright
| 10/17/25 @ Leto | 118.9 |
| 09/19/25 vs King | 81.1 |
| 08/29/25 @ Oviedo | 79.5 |
| 09/12/25 vs Chamberlain | 75.8 |
| 09/05/25 @ Alonso | 72.6 |
Sickles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Himelright, who threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Himelright a new career-high in passer rating (118.9). A healthy portion of Himelright's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Luca Milinkovich, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.
Sickles didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Leto to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Rhys Williams for the heroic effort on defense: he. Given Himelright's standout performance, it's clear Leto's secondary just wasn't on the same level.
Sickles didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaylin Moore and Williams. Williams also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 13. Sickles received some extra help from Moore, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Plant came up short against Berkeley Prep on Friday and fell 19-7.
Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Deron Manuel, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Plant's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Zyrohn Canady was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Plant got some further help from Mark Del Cukut: he made 22 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Plant's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sickles, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Sickles took a serious blow against Plant in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 81-0. Thankfully for the Gryphons, Jc Mirasola (who threw for 268 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
