The Arizona College Prep Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Desert Edge Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Arizona College Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Jaden Guglielmo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Arizona College Prep: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ashton Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Desert Edge had just enough and edged out Copper Canyon 11-10 on Friday. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Aztecs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Caleb Kersey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zeus Durazo, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Tyson Kinnear was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Arizona College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Desert Edge, their record is now 6-11.
Desert Edge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arizona College Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Desert Edge, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits.
