Basketball Recap: Crested Butte Victorious

On Saturday, the Crested Butte Titans didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Vail Christian Saints, but they still walked away with a 33-28 win. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly five points.

Molly Miller had an outrageously good game as she posted 20 points. Her morning made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Calla Fenlon was another key player, putting up nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for Crested Butte and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Vail Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crested Butte and Ignacio will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vail Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vail Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Vail Christian is facing Vail Mountain at the right time seeing as Vail Mountain is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
