After soaring to 60 points the game before, the Duval Charter Panthers were a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They were outmatched by Eagle's View at home and fell 72-19. Duval Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Eagle's View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justis Clements led the charge by scoring 14 points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Carter, who scored 12 points.
Duval Charter dropped their record down to 6-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.5 points per game. As for Eagle's View, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
Duval Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eagle's View and Beachside will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jeff Wholey and Jayden Williams.
