It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Wamego Red Raiders can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 26-7 to Andover Central. It was the first time this season that Wamego let down their fans at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Andover Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landon Kitterman, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. Maddox Archibald was another key contributor, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
Wamego's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Andover Central, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Saint Thomas Aquinas the next time they take the field. Wamego will head out to face Saint Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Wamego will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m.
