Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Winfield walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Chapmanville Regional Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Winfield, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Chapmanville Regional from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Brady Sutler led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The win was the fifth in a row for Winfield, bringing their record up to 13-6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those five contests. As for Chapmanville Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7-1.
