Tombstone won the last time they faced St. Augustine Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tombstone Yellow Jackets took their game with ease, bagging a 61-32 victory over the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves. The Yellow Jackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Rachel Thursby, who almost dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Damaris Alvarez, who went 11 for 27 to rack up 23 points.

Tombstone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 37 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Tombstone has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points over those games. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.
