The Harmony Christian Hawks are ranked highly in their home state, and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Faith Christian. Harmony Christian had just enough and edged Faith Christian out 56-54. The victory was just what Harmony Christian needed coming off of a 62-39 defeat in their prior contest.
Benjamin Minton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Harmony Christian's points. Edric Boateng was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Harmony Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Faith Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harmony Christian will challenge Veritas Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against American Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. American Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Faith Christian likes a good challenge.
