Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Algoma). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Southern Door Eagles 68-35. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Eagles are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Algoma pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Southern Door, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

The future could be bright for both Algoma and Southern Door: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Algoma will try to hand Sturgeon Bay their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Southern Door will look to extend Gibraltar's seven-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
