Fans got a thrill when Malik Chambers and Chase Prairie connected against Sullivan West. The longest such play in Section 9 C-I this season, the connection resulted in 60 yards.
Burke Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Goshen Central, 32-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Eagles.
O'Neill's dynamic duo of Chambers and Prairie proved to be unstoppable against the Bulldogs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Chambers threw for 72 yards and 1 touchdown and Prairie had 60 yards receiving. Dashaun Graham helped O'Neill's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 20 yards.
Matt Przybocki was a beast in the backfield as Burke Catholic topped the Gladiators.
The Raiders' Keegan West and Chambers have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback West has thrown for 519 yards this season, while Chambers has 11 catches for 150 yards. Przybocki from Ed Van Curen's team leads the league in rushing with 1,092 yards.
One of Section 9 C-I's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when O'Neill and Onteora face off next week.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Anthony Finochio's team takes on the Indians. The Raiders are in second place, while Onteora is in third place.
Justin Kight's team lost to Chester 54-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
