Basketball Recap: Parkdale Skates Past Crossland with Ease

Parkdale entered their tilt with Crossland on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 80-20 win over the Crossland Cavaliers. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Parkdale to victory were Hannah Youn and Nalani Miller. Youn dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards, while Miller went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and five steals. Miller is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Yassin Kouyate also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Despite the loss, Crossland still got an impressive performance from Kendra Gaton, who posted 18 points.

Parkdale's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46 points. As for Crossland, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Parkdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-30 defeat against Flowers on the 27th. As for Crossland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-38 loss against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North on the 27th.
