Diamond got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They skirted past the Sarcoxie Bears 36-34. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Diamond's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Sarcoxie, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diamond will head out to take on Pierce City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sarcoxie, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
