The South Central Satellites won the last time they faced the Westville Blackhawks, and things went their way on Thursday too. South Central took down Westville 59-43.
South Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sadie Marks led the charge by scoring 21 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Hope Welsh, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds.
South Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Westville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
South Central on the road again on Friday and play against Tri-Township at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Tri-Township will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Westville, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Laporte at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Laporte has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
