After a string of three wins, the Bloomfield Cardinals's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 57-42 to Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bloomfield has scored all season.
Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Cook, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least 25% of Christian Academy's points. Joshua Renfro was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Linton-Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Linton-Stockton is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Silver Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
