The Prescott Badgers will be playing at home against the Mingus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Prescott pushed their score all the way to 37 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Coconino 42-37. Prescott has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Johann Gundermann, who picked up 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Rice, who threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns while completing 93.3% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Mingus' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 32-12 loss at the hands of Lee Williams.
Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mingus, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Everything came up roses for Prescott against Mingus when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 55-7 win. Does Prescott have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mingus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
