Streamwood can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Fenton with points to spare, taking the game 30-14. The win was just what Streamwood needed coming off of a 34-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Streamwood relied on the efforts of Aden Strong, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and Taro Ishikawa, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Strong was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
South Elgin's victory was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. They've been dominating across those matchups too: they took their wins by an average of 34 points. As for Streamwood, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 2-6.
