In what's become a running theme this season, the Anacostia Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They breezed by Cardozo at home to the tune of 53-5. The win was just what Anacostia needed coming off of a 57-33 loss in their prior match.
Anacostia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ta'shaun Robinson out in front who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Nayjah Duvall, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Anacostia's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Cardozo, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Anacostia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DC International at 4:00 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (DC International is ranked tenth, while Anacostia is ranked fifth). As for Cardozo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
