Two dominant guards in Luke Breslin and Adira Ahmed are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Covenant Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the King Abdullah Academy Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Back in December of 2023, The Covenant came up short against Wilson Memorial and fell 68-57.
Meanwhile, King Abdullah Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 76-64 to Eastern Mennonite. While losing is never fun, King Abdullah Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Eastern Mennonite is ranked 39th).
The Covenant's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for King Abdullah Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.
The Covenant didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against King Abdullah Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win. Will The Covenant repeat their success, or does King Abdullah Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
