Macey Ciamillo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Sophie Gee was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.
Hoggard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The win got Hoggard back to even at 8-8. As for Ashley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17.
