Even though the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the North Cross Raiders still came out on top. North Cross secured a 60-56 W over Virginia Episcopal School. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Cross also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
North Cross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaziel Hart led the charge by scoring 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Antonio Mack was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
North Cross pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
North Cross will head out on the road to face off against Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will be playing at home against Benedictine at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Benedictine will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
