Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Independence's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Center Hill, Independence was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Rosa Fort Lions get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won seven matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Independence is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games. As for Rosa Fort, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12-1.

Looking ahead, Independence will square off against Holly Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rosa Fort, they will venture away from home to take on O'Bannon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
